For a long time, I didn’t find lingerie appealing to me as the wearer. The lacy undergarments were pretty, but since such pretty things were going to be worn underneath my clothing, I didn’t see the purpose of owning lingerie if I was the only one who could see it. I frequently asked myself why I would need something pretty if it was simply basic wear.
However, I realized that lingerie didn’t need to be for anyone else but myself. And because it’s for myself, lingerie could be basic or it could be pretty or it could be both, if I wanted. It’s a simple truth: the person wearing lingerie should feel comfortable and good in it and the lingerie could be pretty, especially if the wearer is the only one who will see it.
