We recently came across this interesting article in UK Vogue profiling some fabulous SWAGS (Silicon Valley Wives and Girlfriends). We learned about women like Sheryl Sandberg and Marissa Mayer who, it turns out, are not only doting wives to their accomplished husbands, but also manage to find the time to pursue hobbies and contribute to charitable causes. We thought the Silicon Valley Husbands and Boyfriends (SHABS) deserved the same recognition. Can’t wait to see these guys in the society pages!
Mark Zuckerberg. Husband of Harvard graduate and up and coming physician Priscilla Chan. Mark is dedicated to promoting quality education and has donated generously to the Newark, NJ public school system. His fashion go-tos include simple jeans and hoodies, and his passion is reuniting those in his community with their grade school besties and politically extreme third cousins.
Larry Ellison. Boyfriend of Ukrainian actress and Malibu, CA restaurant namesake Nikita Kahn. Larry’s hobbies include yachting and flying planes. He has several gorgeous homes in California and Rhode Island.
Larry Page. Husband of research scientist Lucinda Southworth. When it comes to fashion, Larry can’t get enough of ultra stylish eyewear, paired with anything from Ted Baker.
Gavin Newsom. Husband of documentary filmmaker Jennifer Lynn Siebel Newsom. Gavin enjoys participating in Democratic Party politics and was an early proponent of gay and lesbian rights. He loves the art of making wine and spending a night on the town in his beloved City by the Bay with his wife and three children.
David Goldberg. Husband of Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg. Dave likes to spend his free time taking online surveys and, of course, watching (and re-watching!) his wife’s successful TED talks.
Evan Williams. Husband of designer Sara Morishige Williams. @Ev is a vegetarian and proud daddy of two. He reportedly enjoys #blogging and #podcasting. Evan grew up on a farm in Nebraska and is a Midwest boy at heart.
Dr. Griffith Harsh IV. Husband of Meg Whitman, President and CEO of Hewlett-Packard. Another Midwesterner, Griffith grew up in St. Louis. He enjoys spending time with his two sons and studying how the brain works.
Sean Parker. Husband of singer-songwriter Alexandra Lenas. Sean is an active philanthropist who has raised thousands of dollars for cancer research and anti-malaria groups. His passions are planning parties, spending time with his little girl and listening to music with friends.
Mark Pincus. Husband of Alison Pincus, co-founder of One Kings Lane. Mark’s favorite hobby is playing online video games — especially FarmVille and Words with Friends. Mark likes bulldogs and, when he’s not on the computer, can be found hanging out with his twin daughters.
Max Levchin. Husband of financial professional Nellie Levchin. He enjoys film and writing. Max is passionate about education, immigration reform and facilitating money transfers.
