4 Tips To Upgrade Your Holiday Look

In the weeks leading up to the end of the year, holiday parties tend to happen every weekend. You get together with family, friends, and co-workers to celebrate each other and good times. Part of the fun is dressing up for the festivities! Besides wearing the classic red lipstick for the season, here are four innovative tips to revamp your holiday outfits! Rina tells us more:

With Christmas just around the corner, I’ve had holiday dresses on my mind. Sometimes, when dressing for events or parties, you can feel like your outfit is lackluster. Today I want to share a few tips on how to style some of your existing holiday dresses in an unexpected and chic way. To start, grab a dress from your closet from a past year (it can be as simple as this white shirt dress I have on).

1. Pair it with the perfect coat. In past years, I would brave the cold in my party dress sans coat because I could never find anything that matched my dressier outfits. Browsing through the Sanne Alexandra collection, I stumbled upon the perfect holiday coat. You can drape it over your shoulders or leave it open for a more relaxed look, or use the belt to cinch the waist and give you shape. It really completes your holiday look when your coat is as stylish as the rest of your ensemble.

2. Switch out your tights for leather leggings. Rather than going with a classic pair of tights, try something different and pair your dress with leather leggings.

3. Opt for a watch rather than typical jewelry. Most people go for jewels and baubles when dressing up. Change up your look by adding a watch and simple bangle for a minimalist but stylish look.

4. Add some color. Colour doesn’t necessarily mean loud and bold. You can still add color to your holiday outfit and keep it understated. I wore this deep red bag to complete my ensemble.

Whether it was with my sky-high hairstyles or slight uniform infractions, I was always looking for a way to stand out amongst my conformed peers. To this day, I still find myself testing the boundaries with my fashion choices and encouraging others to do the same.
