A Casual Dress With A Twist

A Casual Dress With A Twist

Innovation is inherently part of fashion. Fashion designers are always creating new looks and constructing different versions of the staple pieces we have in our wardrobe. These creative designs are eye-catching and memorable, bringing new life to ordinary pieces. Take the shirt dress. Liat shows us how this casual dress got an upgrade:

One of the trends this season which caught my eye is the tie-front clothing. It piqued my interest mainly because the tie-front is actually an already built-in the garment, so it saves you time and effort in finding two pieces that can work perfectly together. Minimizing the effort you put in creating an outfit is really essential, especially for me when I need to be ready in seconds while dealing with my two energetic boys at the same time. A mom’s life can be tough.

I love how the dress ties around the waist, which was a major trend during the ’90s for all those girls who wanted to look cool and carefree. The trend is coming back, but in a sophisticated-classy way. Instead of a bulky flannel shirt, which may add unnecessary weight, the built-in details can look more classy and flattering, particularly more so if the fabric is light as silk.

The tie front dress from Club Monaco gives the illusion of the a shirt secured around the waist without the informality. One of the reasons I like the tying is that it allows me to adjust it in a way it will flatter my figure, while keeping it effortless and cool.

The classy fit goes well with a pair of chic ankle boots, for these chilly days, or with white cool sneakers, for a sporty minimal look.
