Achieve Minimalist Style With 4 Tips

There’s beauty in simplicity. Minimalist fashion best encompasses this idea! With just a few key items, you can look fashionable and put-together. Rina shows us how:

I’ve always been fascinated by the minimalist’s ability to create such stunningly classic ensembles with key pieces. Read on for 4 easy tips on creating a minimalist outfit.

1. Neutral tones are the way to go. Get out your whites, blacks, grays and tans as these are the colours of a minimalist’s wardrobe. What I love about neutral colours are they are forever classic and have endless styling options.

2. T-shirts are always a good idea and are essential. Not only are they extremely comfortable, you can pair them with every type of bottom! This tee from The Beginning Of has a unique shimmer to it, which adds a little something extra to an overall simple outfit.

3. Dainty jewelry is a must. Put away your statement necklaces and colourful tassel earrings and swap them for dainty pieces in gold or silver tones. I chose a simple bangle from The Peach Box and paired it with a classic time piece by Marc Bale.

4. Don’t forget to put you into it. I had to have fun with my accessories and chose sunglasses with a dramatic mirrored cat eye. Whenever you try a new way of dressing, don’t forget to remain true to yourself by putting your own twist on the trend or style. Cheers to becoming a minimalista!

“Attending private school and wearing uniforms, I always felt the need to test the boundaries. Whether it was with my sky-high hairstyles or slight uniform infractions, I was always looking for a way to stand out amongst my conformed peers. To this day, I still find myself testing the boundaries with my fashion choices and encouraging others to do the same.
