Layers To Complete Your Perfect Spring Wardrobe

Layers To Complete Your Perfect Spring Wardrobe

Layering an outfit can be quite intimidating at first. When creating depth to your look there are many factors to consider for every individual layer, such as texture, weight, color, maneuverability, etc. It’s overwhelming! But once you get used to visualizing the building blocks of your outfit, the creativity that is inherent in fashion will come naturally to you. L&P shows you how we got creative with our layering for the spring season.

It’s All In The Details

You can't go wrong with a denim jean and leather jacket outfit combination.

It’s a tried-and-true combination: denim jeans with a leather jacket. You really can’t go wrong when pairing these classic wardrobe pieces! So how does one layer this outfit? By keeping in mind the details and not letting the details fight for attention. For example, the rough fringe on her denim pants is a fresh new take on this timeless look. Cianna also kept it simple by implementing a simple color palette and letting the details shine.

Keep in mind that outfit details should not fight for attention with each other.

So Much More Than A Tank Dress

Tank dresses are in for this Spring 2018 season.

Tank dresses are in for this spring 2018 season. However, because the weather in San Francisco is so unpredictable, it’s difficult to wear a tank dress by itself. Since a tank dress often allows a little wiggle room underneath, layering is much easier. For this outfit, we buttoned up a light white shirt and put it under a pretty statement dress.  The warm knit cardigan topped off the look. This outfit utilizes different textures to create depth while still putting a spotlight on the very cute dress.
