“All About That Bass” is the first song and video to be released from singer-songwriter-producer Meghan Trainor’s upcoming solo album. In it the voluptuous, Nashville-based singer charmingly rants about the war between curvy and skinny women.
Trainor got her start writing and producing songs in her bedroom on a computer as a 13-year-old. At 17-years-old she signed a publishing deal as a songwriter with Big Yellow Dog Publishing. She has also written for artists such as: Rascal Flatts, Sabrina Carpenter, Macy Kate, amongst others. Producer L.A. Ried heard “All About That Bass” and quickly signed her as a solo artist to Epic Records. The song was originally intended for another artist, but Trainor insisted on keeping it for herself. I’m sure glad she did!
